Best Management Practices
JMW Logging follows all Best Management Practices adopted by the General Assembly of North Carolina (Statutes 113A-521, 77-13 and 77-4) which states that it is unlawful to put anything in streams, creeks, rivers, ravines, or drainage ditches which may block or slow the flow of water not permitted under the Forest Practice Guidelines (FPGs). Streamside Management Zones (SMZs) are flagged and act as a buffer for said bodies of water.
